(09/17/2008 Odessa) This year, rainfall has returned to normal levels, but the levels of many lakes are still below their normal year lows. In northwest Hillsborough County, this is most pronounced at Lake Alice, where the lake level was nearly 3 feet below the normal year low in August. With the lower levels come the aquatic weeds, that are detrimental to the lakes health.
